Auto AC In Texas…Don’t Go Without!

Here in Texas, people would just laugh if you tried to sell them a car without air conditioning. It is so hot in the summer, you can probably fry eggs on your car and boil water inside it. Also, the thing about Texas summers is that they are long, lasting from April to October for all practical purposes. So, if your ac compressor goes out, you are either the proud new owner of a mobile sauna, or you need to get it replaced. Pronto.

The thing is, especially if you’re a woman, the mechanics around here will take you for a ride if you let them. An air conditioning compressor could end up costing twice what it would on a site like Discount AC Parts. Not only do they carry auto ac parts at great prices, but they also offer FREE shipping! I love free shipping–and on heavy parts, that is a great deal!

The site is not limited to just a few models, either. You can find BMW or Mercedes AC compressors as well as a
Ford ac compressor.
Definitely a great site to go to if you are a do it yourself type of person, or if you simply prefer a better deal on the part you are going to take to your mechanic!

Advertise Your Product on Television

A work friend whose family owns a furniture store was recently ecstatic because the commercial was made in her house, featuring her kids jumping on the bed and couches. It occurred to me that even having a store in a small town isn’t quite enough to drive sales, you still need to engage in some advertising via the media. It turns out that this can be surprising accessible. Say, for example, you have invented a widget and figured out how to get it produced. You could then go to Hawthorne Direct, and work with them on how you are going to market your product. They do long and short form TV (infomercials),
TV media buying, commercial production and much more. So this idea I had about all the advertising transactions occurring in a secret room in the Trump Tower have apparently been off-base. It’s not such an elusive mystery after all.

Okay, Tell Me The Truth

I’m really not sure about this blog design. I like the way it looks a lot, and it has a “cutting edge” feel that most other templates do not have. I wanted it to be different in this world of a gazillion blogs. The thing is, I think it’s more difficult to read, and I have perfect eyesight. Is anyone else having trouble reading it, or is feeling annoyed by the muted colors and smallish font? I’m thinking about switching templates, although that will be a big pain in the butt, since I’ll have to customize the next template to have my PPP code and stuff. I dunno. What do you think?

Program More Than Just Your Computer

At the very first alternative school I worked at, every morning, I would guide the kids through affirmations. I taught them the difference between saying something like, “I won’t be bad today” and “I am an intelligent person who can do math”. The kids got really into it, and would discuss the affirmations they’d made at the end of the day. It made a big difference in our program.

One of the problems I’ve had with affirmations as an adult is that I feel ridiculous saying them out loud, especially when anyone is around, even Sage. That’s why I like this program that inserts subliminal messages into your computer while you are working. Considering that there are some days when I am on the computer for ten hours or so, this could be a pretty powerful thing.

http://www.subliminal-power.com offers the program that can tap into your subconsious and add in some positive affirmations. It has a pretty cool interface–you choose the area you want to work on, and it’s automatic. If you want to customize it for a specific area, you can do that as well. I suppose if you really hated someone, you could program it to flash, “Joe, you really are a loser”, and install it on his computer. But that would be really unkind, wouldn’t it?

I think it’s a great idea, and it targets the right media for me. I’m staring at a screen far more often than I am wearing headphones. Head on over and see what you think.
