About

This is the blog where I don’t try. I don’t bother asking myself what my readers would like before writing each post. I don’t always attempt to find eye-catching photos for each post. This isn’t the place where I worry whether or not people are going to be offended by my politics. I don’t worry about RSS subscriber numbers, Adsense earnings, or anything that distracts me in any way from what I want to say.

A couple of my friends on that sidebar have known me through three blog incarnations. This blog is a way to connect with people, and more importantly, connect with myself. It’s a learning experience whenever I go back through the archives and read the various tangents I have been on in months past.

It is what it is.

This is me.

What do I say about myself? Really, it would depend on my mood. I’ll go for neutral here. I don’t want to completly bore you though, so I’ll illustrate my About Me info with some pictures that I like.

One thing that I am seriously into is music. Music has the power to turn your mood around on a dime. Johnny Cash is a favorite. I once sang 16 Tons at an open mike. Yeah, my voice is pretty alto.

Nancy Sinatra’s These Boots Are Made For Walkin’ has just the words I’ve needed to hear from another woman at times. She is the epitome of cool.

I could go on about music all day. Movies are another thing. I don’t watch TV, because I find so very little of it entertaining that it is simply not worth the eighty bucks a month. The kids don’t need to watch South Park, either, and now I don’t have to police that stuff. So, instead of watching TV, I watch movies. Not nearly enough of them though.

Favorites….I love foreign films, especially from Mexico (no, not that macho stuff) and Spain. I am divided between Men With Guns and Like Water For Chocolate for the position of Absolute Favorite.

The tragedy of guerilla warfare or the romance of thwarted love….

Of course, what I seem to watch the majority of the time are kids’ movies….over and over again. They have also become favorites.

And of course Ice Age has the voice of John Leguizamo, who is my favorite comedian–no competition there. I saw him live and nearly peed myself. And, he is sizzzzzlin’ HOT.

I have seen Shrek I and II about 100 times–no exaggeration.
