Really, it seems like the possibilities for career-switching are endless. Have you ever thought about training to become a heavy equipment operator? I wouldn’t mind working around some of those hunky guys, and the after-work beer would be a nice bonus, right? Not to mention that some of those guys (and gals) take home some serious bucks. If you’re interested, you should read the
blog about ATS equipment school, because it has some good articles about heavy equipment operation. One of the articles mentions the effect of bad weather on earnings, and recommends getting a certification to operate equipment that is not dependent upon the weather. That is the absolute truth. I can’t tell you how much G. hated rainy weather when he was working as a tree trimmer. Bad weather, no work. Fortunately, there’s plenty of other options for heavy equipment operators. Options, and bucks.
