Even though I typically like sunny weather, there is nothing like the gray, misty look we get here in Nowhere, Texas in the winter. It never gets very cold, so I have been enjoying walking a lot more. The trees look ethereal through the misty gray, and believe me, it is much more enjoyable going on a hike here in the winter than in the summer. That said, I would love to have a new pair of
hiking boots. I usually trek around in my tennis shoes, and ruin them with muck. I slip and slide quite a bit too in the creek, which is something that doesn’t happen as much with hiking or
hunting boots.
MetBoots has a really good selection of hiking boots, and they offer free shipping on all orders over $100. I just love free shipping. When you consider that you are not wasting gas in the car driving around, it really does save you money. MetBoots is also known for good customer service. At their website, you can see their toll-free number right on the front page, which is a refreshing change from some online shopping sites that seem to hide their contact information!
If only it would stay cool and misty all year. Maybe I should go to Scotland.
