Program More Than Just Your Computer

At the very first alternative school I worked at, every morning, I would guide the kids through affirmations. I taught them the difference between saying something like, “I won’t be bad today” and “I am an intelligent person who can do math”. The kids got really into it, and would discuss the affirmations they’d made at the end of the day. It made a big difference in our program.
One of the problems I’ve had with affirmations as an adult is that I feel ridiculous saying them out loud, especially when anyone is around, even Sage. That’s why I like this program that inserts subliminal messages into your computer while you are working. Considering that there are some days when I am on the computer for ten hours or so, this could be a pretty powerful thing.
http://www.subliminal-power.com offers the program that can tap into your subconsious and add in some positive affirmations. It has a pretty cool interface–you choose the area you want to work on, and it’s automatic. If you want to customize it for a specific area, you can do that as well. I suppose if you really hated someone, you could program it to flash, “Joe, you really are a loser”, and install it on his computer. But that would be really unkind, wouldn’t it?
I think it’s a great idea, and it targets the right media for me. I’m staring at a screen far more often than I am wearing headphones. Head on over and see what you think.
