Home Alone…

My situation right now feels like something out of a science fiction novel. You see, I live in a largest apartment complex in town. It is gated, and is very quiet. Last night, Sage and I were watching Home Alone, and then left the apartment to go have dinner with friends. As we walked out the door, I noticed it was dark, which was nothing new. The weird thing was that ALL of the windows in the complex (except two) were dark. No one was home. Everyone has left for the holidays. This is not unusual, since there are quite a few students and professors who live here. Still, it feels weird.
Last night, I was imagining that I was living in a post-apocalyptic world, only with electricity I suppose, living in the basement of a huge abandoned building. It really does feel weird for this huge structure and those around it not to have anyone in it…
I did a good job creeping myself out.

I appear to have missed some posts. It sounds like you’re working hard to get your dreams/goals realized. I don’t blame you there. I have thought about becoming a librarian, but now I see that districts are cutting that position left and right. So, it appears that I’ll have to find a different idea. Hmmm…Home Alone is a freaky feeling. I read all those books like On the Beach so I have often thought about what that would be like. I think I am Legend is a similar idea. (haven’t seen it, but Alison has-said it was good) Merry Christmas to you, Michelle! Our weird Christmas movie last night was called Joyeux Noel(a French/German film from 2005) that was a the true story from WW1. A group of Scottish, French and German soldiers had a cease fire and fraternized on the front for Christmas Eve.
