I Need A Bigger Bed

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

This bed is an odd size-bigger than a twin, and smaller than a double. My grandfather made the frame. I love it, and its relatively small size is a reminder to me that I both literally and figuratively do not have room for another person (read man) in my bed. I didn’t figure the animals into the equation though. Add a kiddo and it’s time to get a queen or king-sized model.

Sorry if this offends people’s sensibilities, but some of us take our comfort in life where we can find it, even if it involves a 70 pound lump of friendly hair lying next to us. :-) And yes, those are markers and a book in the bed as well. Sometimes the muse strikes right before I fall asleep. Photo credit goes to Sky.

Your furry friends look dead comfy! I’d kick them off myself, but then I wriggle so much in bed they probably wouldn’t want to stay there in the first place!

It looks as crowded as our bed. When it’s time for bed our cat Velvet runs around me meowing that it’s time. Then when I am in bed Velvet and a couple of other cats jump up and demand petting. I wouldn’t kick them off for anything.

Just get a smaller dog. (Perhaps if you feed him small things, he will shrink?)

Go King! This makes me laugh, because a new bed is on the horizon for us. Our Queen is getting OLD and IZ wants to get a king size bed because, and I quote, “You’re too violent to sleep with.” Apparently, I’ve been getting rather pushy in my sleep. The other night he woke up to his arm completely asleep because I was on top of it! OH MY. So… go big, girl! It will be worth it. :D

We traded our full-size futon for what we thought was a queen (free from MIL). Turns out it’s a full too! And since it’s not on the floor like the futon was since we had moved, it feels like less space! Oh, we need a bed. Hopefully, MIL will give us the queen she no longer wants… and I hope it’s actually a queen!

Who are these no-pets-on-the-bed people and why do they read your blog? Hee hee.

Yes, time for a bigger bed so the animals, markers and you can all fit!
