Costa Rica! Back to Costa Rica. Rebekah has a good idea, too. Big European cities are nice but for me, they trigger neurotic stuff about crowds, dirt, noise. Give me nature for peace and relaxation.

Yes, to actually jump up and leave for Prague right now would be very tempting. More so as there are some very interesting job offers there. But for us to up and run off now would be unfair to the kids who still have a few years before finishing school. And the French education system is so different to the others, so it would be incredibly difficult for them to adapt. In fact our daughter is really afraid that we might even have to move in France (our last move was just three years ago). But we might have to I'm afraid.

Prague would be our destination. We've been wanting to go there for years. Maybe for our 25th anniversary - but that's still 5 years away - or perhaps for my 50ieth (sooner).

Umm.....maybe Egypt, I always wanted to see the pyramids. Or Turkey, I hear so many good thing about it these days. Or perhaps, New Zealand, although it seems soo far away, I am totally over long haul flights. Or Italy, I've never been and it's so close by. Or, ...I don't know. I always had a hard time picking just one place I'd like to go to!

I first heard of cargo cults from Richard Feynman, who is duly mentioned in the Wikipedia article.

I would probably pick New Zealand, or maybe Belgium or Norway. The first being on the other side of the world, the latter two being just across the water.

OOh what a gift. I'd have to say in all the world, I'd choose a cabin on a cliff by the sea in Manzanita, Oregon. I've never been anywhere more heavenly.

I live fairly close to Whistler and many people I know have been. I have never heard a negative word said about it. Do you all have passports? (Canada requires them now, I think) I would go to New Zealand/Australia if I could go anywhere. But the flight is very long and expensive.
