I agree with Tense Teacher and Margaret. You have your hands full and have every right to rant. Normal reaction to what is going on in your life.

younger son is a cutie pie (although I'm sure he'd cringe if you were to tell him that!).

Ah, the joys of the system. Perhaps I really need to share your story with son #1. So far, he's been caught sneaking out of the house at 3:00 in the morning and also went to San Francisco with friends (on my b-day no less!) without permission and then got stranded at the Concord Bart station. Remember, he's only 14!!

Kids can be so danm aggravating sometimes. Just curious, has your older son always been pretty hard-headed about things? Son #1 has been "difficult" since birth and so now that we are facing these troubles as he hits his teen years, I've not been too surprised.

I hope that in the midst of all of this that you do stop and take some time for yourself.

Funnily enough, this post is the least of the reasons I have to associate marijuana with anarchism.

Make sure to show us those future craft projects that you glean from the dismembered corpse of your fallen calculating engine! ^_^

What an adorable, bright eyed face! It would be absolute agony for me to be tied down; we are both independent women who would like to believe that the world is fair and people will be mostly kind. It doesn't sound like that is happening in this case AT ALL. It appears that the PO is on a power trip at your expense. And I'm not sure what you can do about it. Will Older son listen to Dad's horrid advice? I hope not.

Simply aggravating? Give yourself a break! This is consuming your life now; it's okay to focus on the negative. Just don't let it eat you alive.
